Trinità d'Agultu and Vignola (in Gallurese Trinitài and Vignòla) is a Municipality of 2,134 inhabitants. The main village arises 365 m. a.s.l. and overlooks a wide part of the sea, while in the northwestern coast is the hamlet of Vignola.
The Municipality also includes the boroughs of Costa Paradiso, Isola Rossa, La Marinedda, Lu Colbu, Tinnari and Paduledda.
The territory is characterized by granite hills, that slope down to the coast, making it high and indented, interrupted only by charming sand beaches.
The village of Trinità d’Agultu arose near an old rural church in the second half of 1800. Near the village, that belonged to Giudicato di Gallura in the Middle Age, several archaeological attestations are available.
From the 70’s this area has become a renowned seaside destination; tourist resorts such as Costa Paradiso, Marinedda and Isola Rossa are very famous. The latter proposes a great deal of fascinating sand beaches interrupted by a mass of noticeable cliffs and red rocks.
Apart from tourism, economy is based on agriculture (grapes, fruit, olive), on farming (bovine, caprine, ovine) and on food industry activities.
Within such a nonlinear urban development formed by a mass of small recent villages, worth mentioning are the rural churches of San Giuseppe and San Michele (XVII century) and that of Sant’Antonio da Padova (XVII century) in Li Colti.
