Telti (in Gallurese Tèlti) is a Municipality of more than 2,000 inhabitants located 15 Km far from Olbia, in the inland area, within the historical region of Gallura.

It is situated where the Roman Tertius arose and it was abandoned during the Middle Age, because of the continuous invasions by the Saracens. Part of the municipality of Telti was rebuilt in 1700 thanks to the growth of several stazzi around the area arisen around the churches of Santa Vittoria and Santa Anatolia.

The territory is characterized by hills partially covered with woods and pastures, at the eastern foot of Mount Limbara near the plain of Olbia.

Telti’s economy is based on agriculture (grains, fruit, olive, grapes) and farming (swine, ovine, bovine), but during the last decades food industry and mining activity developed.

A large number of attestations from the Roman Age are still present all around Telti. The churches of Santa Vittoria (XVIII century) and San Basilio and the castle of Padulaccio, a fortress of byzantine origins reused during the Middle Age by Giudici of Gallura, are particularly valuable.
