Sant’Antonio di Gallura (in Gallurese Sant’Antòni) is a Municipality of 1,635 inhabitants, in the historical region of Gallura. The village is located on a 355 m. high hill, west from Lake Liscia.

The territory is constituted by granite hills and deep valleys covered with pastures, Macchia Mediterranea shrubs and oak-woods.

The birth of Sant’Antonio dates back just to the beginning of 1900, when people who lived in this area started to gather around the rural church, where in 1907, according to the religious authority’s will, a priest was dispatched to help worshippers follow the service, because they were bound to go to Calangianus for everything they were in need of. The village’s name is that of the Saint chosen at the moment of its foundation.

The village’s economy is predominantly based on agriculture (horticulture, grape and olive growing) and on farming, above all bovine and swine farming. Granite mining and processing and cork harvest and transformation are of great interest. Moreover, bee-keeping is an old traditional activity.

Not too far from the village there is the Prenuragic Wall of Serra S’aglientu, probably related to Arzachena culture.

In the countryside near the village there are the churches of Sant’Elena and San Costantino (XVII century) and of San Giacomo.
