Loiri Porto San Paolo (in Gallurese Lòiri-Poltu Santu Paulu) is a Municipality of 2,508 inhabitants, set few kilometres south from Olbia, in the historical region of Gallura. The Municipality borough, Loiri, is few kilometres inland, while the wide Porto S. Paolo is set by the sea. Several villages belong to this Municipality, such as Vaccileddi and Santa Giusta.

It was founded by fishermen in the beginning of 1900, and it succeeded in getting its administrative independence from Tempio Pausania just in 1979.

The territory is characterized by uneven hills 400 m. high at the summit and by a portion of the plain of Olbia in the North.

The beautiful coastal landscape definitely contributed to the Municipality development. Worth mentioning are the resorts of San Nicola, Costa Dorata and Punta Turchese, embedded among the amazing shores of Punta Corallina and Cala Girgolu.

Economy is mainly based on swimming tourism and hotels, but fishing, agriculture and farming are important, too.

Near the two main villages a lot of traces from the Prenuragic and Nuragic Age are present as well as the several attestations from the Roman Age available within this area.

In Santa Giusta, a church dating back to the Middle Age was in ancient times an important Cult See of the Giudicato di Gallura and it was likely to be the parish church of the old village of Orfilo.
