Administrative Servicies
Tourism and Travel Promotion Service of the Province of Olbia – Tempio is divided into the following bureaus:
- Tourist Information, Reception and Assistance Bureau;
- Local Promotion Bureau;
- Planning Bureau;
- Statistics and Monitoring Bureau.
Travel Information Reception and Assistance Bureau carries out works and services for tourism promotion at a regional and over-regional level, for tourist information, reception and assistance, for aiding activities directed to public and private subjects involved in the local tourist offer, for activities on complaints managing; administrative function about pro-loco associations, as provided for by the 5th November 1997 Decree n. 887 of the Assessore Regionale al Turismo, all’Artigianato e al Commercio; financial supporting activities for tourism enterprises, such as musical, cultural, food and wine fairs, folk festivals, conferences, meetings and so on. Administrative activities transferred to Provinces after the n. 9/2006 Regional Law.
Local Promotion Bureau deals with the following activities, apart from the promotion of local tourism: issue of obligatory opinion, as provided for by Art. 2 of the 20th June 1986 Regional Law n 35, for the rating of hotels and open air facilities disciplined by 14th May 1984 Regional Law n 22 and of other receptive structures disciplined by 12th August 1998 n 27; guiding and supporting activities to tourist operators of the receptive division, from the planning phase to the opening of the receptive facility and its rating; activities directed to production and distribution of the forms about the communication of the rates and receptive outfits of the territory as provided for by 25 August 1991 National Law n 284 and by 16/10/1991 Tourism and Entertainment Minister Decree and related authentication, with successive transmission of a copy of the communication to the Region. Administrative activities transferred to Provinces after n. 9/2006 Regional Law.

Planning Bureau works on planning the participation of the Province to National and International Fairs, in order to promote the territory; it carries out for the Province secretariat the administration of the Registers containing the tourist guiding business activities as in Regional Law n. 9/1990 and Regional Law n. 20/2006 and the technical directors of tourist and travel agencies, investigating activities on new applications and updates of the Registers therein included. Administrative have been transferred to Provinces after the Regional Law n. 9/2006.

Statistics and Monitoring Bureau deals with the following main activities or functions: surveying and processing of statistical data pertaining customers traffic around hotels and other facilities, and their successive transmission to the regional informative system; administrative function related to tourist and travel agencies as in Regional Law n.13/1998, monitoring and control upon them therein included. Administrative activities have been transferred to Provinces after the Regional Law n. 9/2006.
